Overview

Dr. Ashok K. Vaid is a veteran and certified Medical Oncologist who pioneered one of the biggest Stem Cell Transplant programs in North India in the private sector. Presently he is the Chairman of Medical Oncology Hematology and stem cell transplant at Medanta Cancer Institute in Gurugram, India. Dr. Vaid has more than three decades in clinical practice Areas of interest in his clinic are Cancer Genomics, Immunotherapy Guidance, Precision Onco-therapeutics, Dendritic Cell Therapy, and Stem Cell Transplant. He studied Doctor of Medicine (DM) in Medical Oncology at Dr MGR Medical University, Chennai, India. Dr. Vaid has published several original papers in peer-reviewed journals and has been engaged in more than 50 clinical research as a Principal Investigator both nationally and internationally. He is also a postgraduate teacher registered at the National Board of Examinations; and is a panel member of the University examiners for super-specialty course in Medical Oncology. He was honored with the Padma Shri Award of India in the year 2009 for his immense contribution to medicine.
