Overview

Dr Vinod Raina is arguably one of the most qualified medical oncologists in India having spent over 40 years in practice. Dr. Raina worked in the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi where he was direct Professor & Head of Medical Oncology. Dr. Raina’s therapeutic focus areas include Breast cancer, Lung Cancer, Gastrointestinal, Urological and Gynaecological Cancers, Lymphomas, and Myelomas. He has personally carried out almost 400 bone marrow/stem cell transplants. He has considerable research experience, and having worked for 24 years at AIIMS, New Delhi, he was the Principal Investigator for approximately 50 projects; he co-founded the INDOX network. After training, he has produced nearly 70 residents and DM students placed at foremost positions all over the world. Dr Raina began working at the Fortis Memorial Research Institute (FMRI) in 2013 when he clinched the position of Director and Head of Medical Oncology and Hematology; in 2017, he was promoted to the role of Executive Director; and in a further promotion in January 2020, he became the Chairperson of Oncosciences at Fortis Healthcare. His areas of expertise include all adult solid tumor cancers.
