Dr. Sushant Srivastava is a nationally known cardiovascular surgeon specializing in Beating Heart Bypass Surgery, Single, Double, and Triple Valve Repairs, Aortic Aneurysm Surgery (including Endovascular Repairs), and complex vascular procedures involving the aorta, neck carotid artery, and lower limb vessels. Performing a successful bypass surgery on a 96-year-old patient, one of the oldest reported cases, was his most talked about. He is a graduate of AIIMS, New Delhi, and has an M.Ch in CTVS (1994) and had a tenure as Assistant Professor (1994 to 1998) when he was involved as the youngest doctor of India's first heart transplants and the Heart Transplant and Ventricular Assist Device Program. He goes by the word, as his multiple roles include that of Assistant Professor, at AIIMS, Senior Consultant at Devki Devi Max Heart and Vascular Institute, Chief Cardiac Surgeon, at Batra Hospital & Medical Research Centre, and Sr. Director of Cardio Vascular Surgery, BLK Max Hospital. He has performed stichless valve implantation surgery in India first time, his first ‘awake’ CABG north of Delhi, and has expertise in Endovascular therapy for Aortic Aneuursms, valve and Bypass surgeries, and surgeries for congenital heart defects.
