Dr Amrita Kapoor Chaturvedi is a well-known ophthalmologist with long, association and qualifications using the prestigious All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, where she performed and did her MBBS and MD. She is also a Fellow of The Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh (FRCSEd). A postgraduate in ophthalmology, she started her professional journey at AIIMS and specialized in ophthalmology at the Dr. Rajendra Prasad Centre for Ophthalmic Sciences followed by a three-year tenure as Senior Resident in Glaucoma, Squint, and Neuro-Ophthalmology unit. She independently ran specialty clinics and participated in surgical, medical, and teaching activities. After completing her career as a Senior Research Associate at AIIMS, she specialized in Oculoplasty, Pediatric Ophthalmology, and Ocular Oncology. She was the lead in managing the retinoblastoma cases for the Retinoblastoma Clinic at the Institute of Cancer Centre (IRCH). Since 2007 she has been on the roll as a Senior Consultant at Visitech Eye Centre, New Delhi, where she gained expertise in managing the difficult cases of glaucoma, squint, pediatric eye diseases, and neuro-ophthalmology. Advanced techniques in her surgical category comprise phacoemulsification, extracapsular cataract extraction, and usage of valves and drainage devices in refractory glaucoma cases.
