Dr. Naginder Vashisht came up with his post-graduation from the specialized Dr. R. P Centre for Ophthalmic Science of AIIMS, then he undertook further training in the uvea and vitreo retina. Following the observership with Dr Robert Morris, MD at Retina Specialists of Alabama, Dr. Vashisht also had an opportunity to polish himself in vitreo-retina and ocular trauma. He is a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow as well as the International Council of Ophthalmology in London. These include phacoemulsification, uvea, vitreo retina, and ocular trauma; and diabetic eye conditions, eye trauma, and ROP. He has done many challenging retina operations and is a participant in the academic output where he has delivered papers, posters, and videos at national and international meetings. Dr. Vashisht has taught postgraduate students fellows and optometrists and has over 20 indexed scientific publications and various textbook chapters. He has also been a co-investigator in several multicentric FDA-approved clinical trials of drugs and devices. He is a fellow of the RCPSG—FRCS (Ophthalmology); FICO (International Council of Ophthalmology); All Indian Ophthalmological Society (AIOS); Delhi Ophthalmological Society (DOS); and the ARVO (Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology).
