Dr. Naginder Vashisht completed his post-graduation from the esteemed Dr. R. P. Centre for Ophthalmic Sciences at AIIMS, where he also received advanced training in uvea and vitreo-retina. He further honed his expertise in vitreo-retina and ocular trauma during an observership under Dr. Robert Morris at Retina Specialists of Alabama, USA. Dr. Vashisht holds fellowships from the International Council of Ophthalmology (London) and the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow. His primary areas of interest include phacoemulsification, uvea, vitreo- retina, and ocular trauma, with a particular focus on managing diabetic eye conditions, eye trauma, and retinopathy of prematurity (ROP). He has performed numerous complex retinal surgeries and has been an active participant in academics, presenting papers, posters, and videos at national and international conferences. Dr. Vashisht has contributed to the education of postgraduate students, fellows, and optometrists, with over 20 indexed scientiflc publications and several textbook chapters to his credit. Additionally, he has served as a co-investigator in various multicentric FDA-approved clinical trials. His professional memberships include FRCS (Ophthalmology) from the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Glasgow, FICO from the International Council of Ophthalmology, and affiliations with the All India Ophthalmic Society (AIOS), Delhi Ophthalmic Society (DOS), and the Association for Research in Vision & Ophthalmology (ARVO).
