Overview

Dr. Rajiv Mohan, an extremely well-known ophthalmologist with an experience of more than 34 years, has been praised for his major contributions to eye care and education in Northern India in both private and charitable sectors. A graduate of the University College of Medical Sciences, Delhi (1985) and MS Ophthalmology from Karnataka University (1989), he has been a doctor for 30 years. Dr. Mohan completed advanced medical training in vitreo-retina in England in 1990 and obtained his FRCS from Glasgow in 2002. In 2013 he obtained an MBA in healthcare. Among the early adopters of Phacoemulsification cataract surgery in India, Dr. Mohan now is the Executive President of the National Society for Prevention of Blindness (NSPB), AIIMS, New Delhi, with 30 branches all over India. In Delhi, he has been an honorary consultant to the World Health Organization (WHO); and an honorary examiner by the National Board of Examinations of India and The Royal College of Glasgow, UK. Mohan has been awarded the Delhi Ophthalmological Society Award of Excellence; the IIRSI Gold Medal from the Intraocular Implant and Refractive Society of India; and has been recognized by the Lions Club International Foundation as a Melvin Jones Fellow and by the Rotary Club International Foundation as a Paul Harris Fellow.
