Overview

Dr. Rajiv Mohan is a highly esteemed ophthalmologist with over 34 years of experience, recognized for his significant contributions to eye care and education in Northern India across both private and charitable sectors. He earned his MBBS from the University College of Medical Sciences, Delhi in 1985, and his MS in Ophthalmology from Karnataka University in 1989. Furthering his expertise, Dr. Mohan completed advanced medical training in vitreo-retina in England in 1990 and obtained his FRCS from Glasgow in 2002. He also holds an MBA in healthcare, completed in 2013. A pioneer in introducing Phacoemulsification cataract surgery in India, Dr. Mohan currently serves as the Executive President of the National Society for Prevention of Blindness (NSPB) at AIIMS, New Delhi, which has 30 branches nationwide. He has been an honorary consultant for the World Health Organization (WHO) in Delhi and an honorary examiner with the National Board of Examinations in India and the Royal College of Glasgow, UK. Dr Mohan's exemplary work in ophthalmology and social service has garnered numerous accolades, Award of Excellence from the Delhi Ophthalmological Society, the IIRSI Gold Medal from the Intraocular Implant and Refractive Society of India, and recognition as a Melvin Jones Fellow by the Lions Club International Foundation and a Paul Harris Fellow by the Rotary Club International Foundation.
