Overview

An alumnus of Armed Forces Medical College, Pune, Dr. Seth completed his MD (Medicine) from Pune University and DM (Gastroenterology) from PGIMER, Chandigarh. With fellowships in liver transplantation from Birmingham, UK, and Advanced GI Endoscopy & Endoscopic Ultrasound from South Carolina and Alabama, USA, he has served as a Governing Council member for the Indian Society of Gastroenterology (ISG) and the Society of GI Endoscopy of India (SGEI). A recognized teacher for MBBS, DNB (Medicine), and currently DNB (Gastroenterology), Dr. Seth has over 100 publications to his credit. He is a member of the Apex Technical Committee of the National Organ & Tissue Transplant Organization (NOTTO) and an Advisory Board member of the Multi Organ Harvesting Aid Network (MOHAN) Foundation. Dr Seth chairs the Expert Committee on ‘Ang Daan Yojana,’ an initiative by the Government of Haryana, India, and leads the Working Group on Donation after Circulatory Death (DCD) in India. His awards and achievements include receiving the Vishisht Seva Medal from the President of India in 2009 for establishing the first successful liver transplant program in a government hospital at Army Hospital (Research & Referral), New Delhi, and the Smt. Ranjana Vij Memorial Medal for securing the flrst position in MD Medicine at the University of Poona.
