Dr. (Lt Gen) Ajit Singh Narula is the Principal Director in Nephrology & Kidney Transplant with over 40 years of professional experience in various tertiary care Armed Forces Hospitals and the Fortis Group of Hospitals. He has served as a Senior Adviser and Consultant in Medicine & Nephrology to the Armed Forces and as Professor and HOD at AFMC, Pune. Dr. Narula is a postgraduate teacher and examiner in various medical universities and has received several academic awards in nephrology. He is a former Honorary Surgeon to the President of India and a recipient of Presidential Awards for exceptional service to the nation. His awards and recognitions include the Best Officer Award at the Medical Officer Junior Command Course (Administration Phase), DGAFMS Silver Medal at the Medical Officer Junior Command Course (Professional Phase), Chief of Army Staff Commendations in 1998 and 2008 for distinguished service, and the Vishisht Seva Medal in 2010 for distinguished service to the nation of a high order.
