Overview

Dr. Suman Lata is a highly accomplished nephrologist with over 15 years of experience, having trained both nationally and internationally. She completed her DM in Nephrology at AIIMS, New Delhi, and received an ISN fellowship from a leading transplant centre in London, UK. Dr Lata established the Department of Nephrology & Renal Transplantation at the Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences, making it a centre of excellence for holistic nephrology care. She has been involved in numerous research projects on renal issues related to liver diseases and played a key role in starting the DNB Nephrology training program at the Institute. In 2017, she joined Narayana Superspeciality Hospital Gurugram and Dharamshila Superspeciality Hospital, New Delhi, as Director of Nephrology and Kidney Transplant, initiating nephrology and kidney transplant programs at both centres. From July 2022 to March 2024, Dr. Lata served as Director of Nephrology & Kidney Transplant at Fortis Hospital Vasant Kunj and Fortis Shalimar Bagh. She has attended over fifty national and international conferences and has been a speaker and chairperson at many seminars, CMEs, and symposiums. Dr. Lata is dedicated to patient education, ensuring her patients are fully informed about their treatment options. Her commitment, professionalism, and patient advocacy make her one of the most respected kidney specialists in Delhi. Her awards and achievements include the Best Poster at ISNCON 2010, the International Society of Nephrology certiflcate in 2011, a distinction in the Nephropathology course (ISN-ANIO), second prize in oral presentation at AVATAR 2017, second prize in case presentation at North Zone, and the ISN fellowship award in 2019.
