Overview

Dr. Neelam Mohan is a leading pediatric gastroenterologist and hepatologist in India, with 25 years of extensive experience. A pioneer in pediatric liver transplantation in India, she has achieved several national and global firsts in the field, including initiating therapeutic endoscopy for newborns and young children in India. Dr. Mohan has published over 250 papers, with more than 100 in international journals, and authored over 50 book chapters. She has presented at over 900 forums worldwide, with more than 200 being international conferences. She has been invited to speak at global conferences in the USA, Europe, the UK, Canada, Japan, Dubai, Saudi Arabia, and other Asia-Pacific countries. Dr. Mohan has also authored several global and national guidelines on Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition. She serves as an advisor to the National Health Authority of India (Aayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Aarogya Yojna) and is the co-chair of the Standard Treatment Workflow for Paediatrics, an initiative of the Government of India through ICMR. Additionally, she is an advisor to the National Board of Examinations. Among her numerous awards are the B.C. Roy Award, Swastha Bharat Samman by Zee Health, Vashisht Chikitsa Ratan Award by the Hon. Lt. Governor of Delhi, DMA Centenary Award by the Finance Minister, and the Dr. Sadhana International Empowerment of Women Award. Dr. Mohan is the President of the Indian Society of Pediatric Gastroenterology Hepatology and Nutrition (ISPGHAN) and the Commonwealth Association of Pediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition (CAPGAN).
