Overview

Dr Suman Lata is a recognized nephrologist of eminence with more than 15 years of vast experience both in India and abroad. Dr. Lata obtained a DM in Nephrology at AIIMS, New Delhi, and obtained an ISN fellowship from a top transplant center in the UK, London. She erupted the Department of Nephrology & Renal Transplantation at the Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences as a center for comprehensive nephrology care. She has worked extensively on kidney conditions associated with liver disease and was key for the start of the DNB Nephrology training program at the Institute. She joined Narayana Superspeciality Hospital in Gurugram and Dharamshala Superspeciality Hospital in New Delhi as the Director of Nephrology and Kidney Transplant in 2017 and started her kidney transplant and nephrology programs. Dr. Lata was Director of Nephrology & Kidney Transplant at Fortis Hospital Vasant Kunj and Fortis Shalimar Bagh from July 2022 to March 2024. She has delivered an extensive number of national and international conferences, symposiums, seminars, and CMEs. Patient education is a priority in terms of what she is highly committed to — making sure her patients understand their treatment options. A very respected name in Indian nephrology, who is not just dedicated, and professional but a patient-centered approach has made her what she is today. She has won Best Poster at ISNCON 2010, International Society of Nephrology certificate in 2011, a distinction in the Nephropathology course (ISN Acting through the ANIO), second place in an oral presentation at AVATAR 2017, second place in case presentation at North Zone and she won ISN fellowship award in 2019.
