Dr. Urmila Anandh, Head of the Department of Nephrology, Amrita Hospital, Faridabad has rich experience of over 30 years in her field. Completed her MBBS (1990) from Jawaharlal Institute of Post Graduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER), MD General Medicine (1993), All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi. She was an outstanding academic who was Madras University’s best outgoing undergraduate. In 1990 Dr Anandh was awarded the President of India Gold Medal as the Best Lady Intern, the Baxter Asia Young Investigator Award by the International Society of Peritoneal Dialysis in 1998, and Young Investigator Awards by the same society in 2001and 2004. In 2005, she was also awarded the Distinguished Fellows Award of the World Congress of Nephrology in Singapore.
